I have had a knack for graphic design for a while, but I've never used it as an aspect of OPP before or comissioned my services as a designer. People often ask me to help make invitations, announcements, posters, etc. With a recent increase in the requests for my design work, I decided it was time to add it to my professional portfolio.
Here are my two most recent projects that I have done this month. First, a promotional poster for the Pig Pen Concert Series

My sister Jane is the President of KPGR (the local highschool radio station; 88.1 fm) this year and so she is also in charge of the Pig Pen concerts. We found a vintage poster that my dad sent my mom while he was on his mission in the early 90's. The poster had this illustration and it had original text inside the monsters mouth advertising some local club. As soon as Jane found it she totally knew it was going to be a Pig Pen poster.
So we edited out the original text and I designed the poster for the show on the 21st. it's gonna be sick, you should come.
Next: Shaylee's Mission Cards

Next: Shaylee's Mission Cards
I played around with this one and did a few mock-ups. My best friend Shaylee is leaving on her mission January 6th, and she wanted little business cards that she could print and hand out at her farewell. That way she could distribute her mission email and address in a cute way that people would actually keep a hold of.
She ended up going with the first one, the title font is "Chasing Embers" and it can be found for free at dafont.com (by far my favorite font site.)
Although I did both of these for free, I'd love to see if I can get professional status designing more things like this. These are just my two most recent projects, I've been doing stuff like this for years- Even in the picnik days people. I'll see if I can find examples of my old work to show- just for fun.
Let me know what you think and if you want a physical copy of either of these just to see how they turn out. Ciao bellas!
